This European Standard presents guidance to the designer of machinery or its component parts and the writer of C-standards in controlling health risks due to machine-related muscular force exertion. An Annex ZB was inserted to show the relation between the standard EN 1005-3:2002 and the essential requirements of the machinery safety directive 2006/42/EC. Technical changes were not made.
