The document describes principles and testing procedures for determining the thermal resistance. It applies to the guarded hot plate method using apparatus and the heat flow meter method for dry and moist products with high and medium thermal resistance. It applies to any mean temperature. It is intended primarily for building materials, it may also be used for specimens of any materials that conforms to the requirements specified.
