Ventilation for buildings - Air handling units - Rating and performance for units, components and sections; German version EN 13053:2006+A1:2011


Draft EN 13053/A1 has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 156 " Ventilation for buildings ", the secretariat of which is held by BSI. This document is amending the existing EN 13053:2006. The department Allgemeine Lufttechnik of Normenausschuss Allgemeine Lufttechnik German within DIN takes care of the German interests. Representatives from air-handling unit manufacturer and testing institutes take part were involved. EN 13053:2006 specifies requirements and testing for ratings and performance of air handling units as a whole. It also specifies requirements, recommendations, classification, and testing of specific components and sections of air handling units. The working group of CEN/TC 156 initiated the development an Amendment to EN 13053:2006 due to the technical and political progress reached in the meanwhile. The aim of this amendment is to modify the essential energy-related characteristics of air handling units, and to give additional information to enable a better and more practical energy classification. The following clauses are concerned: 6.3 "Fan section" 6.5.2 "Classifications and requirements" (Heat recovery sections).
