Founding - Malleable cast iron (FOREIGN STANDARD)

The document specifies requirements for malleable cast iron used in the manufacture of castings. It specifies two groups of material, namely whiteheart malleable cast iron and blackheart malleable cast iron. Each group is represented by several grades of material. Classification is given on the basis of mechanical properties determined on seperatly cast test bars. The document specifies 0,2 % proof stress values as well as Brinell hardness values, which are only determined when required by the purchaser. It does not cover chemical composition requirements.
