Personal eye protection - Goggles for motorcycle and moped users; German version EN 1938:2010

This European Standard specifies requirements and test methods for goggles for use by all motorcycle and moped drivers and passengers, intended for eye-protection during the use of motorcycle and moped, both on the road and for off-road sport or leisure use, subject to the following exclusion. The goggles for official races and competitions are not included within the scope of this standard.*This standard specifies requirements and test methods for goggles for use by motorcycle and moped drivers, which are used both on the road and off-road. Goggles which are worn by motorcycle and moped drivers during official races and competitions are not included in this standard. Goggles for off-road use which have gained significant popularity in the leisure sector have been added to this standard. The European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 85/WG 5 "Augenschutz für Fahrzeugführer" ("Eye protectors for vehicles users"). On the national level, the responsible Working Committee is NA 027-01-01 "Augenschutz" ("Eye protection").
