Safety of machinery - Minimum gaps to avoid crushing of parts of the human body; German version EN 349:1993+A1:2008


The aim of the document is to enable standard makers, designers of machinery etc. to reduce the risks from crushing zones. It specifies minimum gaps relative to the respective human body parts. The document is not applicable to risks from impact, shearing and trapping hazards. This document comprises as so called consolidated version EN 349:1993 supplemented by Amendment 1:2008 which has been elaborated in conjunction with the revised Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and provides the reference to this Directive to be applied from 2009-12-29.
