Safety of machinery - Ergonomic design principles - Part 1: Terminology and general principles; German version EN 614-1:2006 (Foreign Standard)


This standard is the central document to fulfil the ergonomics requirements of the machine directive. It is a B1-standards in the sense of CEN-Guide 414. In this standard ergonomics principles are shown, that should be considered during the design and practical use of machinery. The standard is valid for the operator-machine interaction while installing, using, maintaining, cleaning, repairing or transport and contains principles in order to safeguard health and safety of the operator. This standard mentions all relevant ergonomic risks and standards for the minimizing of those risks. In order to make the revision mor user-friendly the ergonomic aspects are mentioned in line with the design process as it is used in practice.
