Garden equipment - Hand-held, integrally-powered hedge trimmers - Safety (including A1:1997+A2:1997) (Foreign Standard)


The document applies to hand-held motor operated hedge trimmers designed primarily for cutting hedges. It specifies safety requirements and test procedures to product from injuries of fingers and legs of the operator. The document does not apply to hedge trimmers with rotating cutting mean. The Amendment A1 "safety requirements and test methods against the hazards due to inadvertment starting of the cutting device" and the Amendment A2 "test method for the blade stopping time" are enclosed.
