Paints and varnishes - Guidelines for the introduction of scribe marks through coatings on metallic panels for corrosion testing (ISO 17872:2007); German version EN ISO 17872:2007
This standard describes a method of scribing coated steel, aluminium or chemically treated metallic panels, or test-pieces, for corrosion tests where the coating system is applied at dry film thicknesses less than 500 µm. This standard does not cover the scribing of the following types of panel or test piece: - galvanized metal; - electroplated metal; - aluminium alloy; - chemically treated metal.
