Personal protective equipment - Safety footwear (ISO 20345:2011); German version EN ISO 20345:2011

This International Standard specifies basic and additional (optional) requirements for safety footwear used for general purpose, e. g. covering mechanical risks, slip resistance, thermal risks, ergonomic behaviour. Special risks are covered by complementary job related standards (e. g. footwear for firefighters, electrical insulating footwear, protecting against chain saws cutting, protecting against chemicals, protecting against molten metal splash, for motor cycle riders).*This International Standard specifies basic and additional (optional) requirements for safety footwear used for general purposes, for instance, by dealing with mechanical risks, slip resistance, thermal risks and ergonomic behaviour. Special risks are dealt with in complementary job-related standards, for instance, footwearfor firefighters, electrical insulating footwear, footwear protection against chain saw injuries, footwear for protection against chemicals, footwear for protection against molten metal splash, footwear protection for motor cycle riders.
