DIN SPEC 18198:2022
Measurement and evaluation methods for optical anisotropic effects in thermally toughened glass
This DIN SPEC in accordance with the PAS procedure has been drawn up by a DIN SPEC-consortium set up on a temporary basis. This DIN SPEC has been developed and approved by the authors named in the foreword. This DIN SPEC provides guidelines for the reproducible evaluation of optical anisotropic effects in thermally toughened flat glass. Quality classes, which are based on different test methods, on specified evaluation criteria and on effects, which result from external factors at the place of installation, will be specified. The evaluation criteria are also applicable to non-monolithic glazing, but as additional effects, which cannot be entirely quantified, can occur, this DIN SPEC will be restricted to monolithic structures.
