Guidance on assignment of structures to consequences classes
DS/INF 1990 can be used for all load-bearing structures attached to buildings, including:*– new permanent structures under construction and in a finished state*– existing structures during and after renovation/remodeling.*– temporary structures under construction and in a finished state, e.g. stands*– temporary structures used during renovation/remodeling of permanent structures, e.g. scaffolding*NOTE – The load-bearing structures include both building structures and plant structures attached to buildings under construction and in a finished state.*DS/INF 1990 guides when determining the consequence class according to current DS/EN 1990:2007, Eurocode 0: Design basis for load-bearing structures, with associated national annex DS/EN 1990 DK NA:2024.*DS/INF 1990 does not have the status of a standard. It thus does not override rules in DS/EN 1990 DK NA:2024, including rules in annex E2 on division into segments/construction sections and loss of human life.*DS/INF 1990 does not attach any importance to constructions' robustness, ductility or conditions relating to warning of potential failure when placing them in consequence class.*
