ANSI E1.11 describes a protocol based on ANSI/TIA/EIA-485-A-1998 for transmitting digital data to control entertainment lighting equipment and accessories. The standard describes the electrical properties, receiver and transmitter topologies, data format, messages, and connector types. It also addresses network grounding and over-voltage protection.
