ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard for Continuing Education and Training
The standard provides a framework to assist organizations to adhere to quality continuing education and training practices. The framework includes the establishment of an appropriate responsibility and control system; the adoption of an analytic approach to establishing learning needs; a plan to establish and execute a quality learning event; the establishment of appropriate assessment criteria; and the need to monitor and improve the learning process to achieve desired learning outcomes. Applying a consistent, quality process provides a firm basis for assessing continuing education units and their application.
