Prefabricated, Tileable Shower Receptors

1.1 This Standard covers prefabricated, tileable shower receptors and specifies requirements for materials, manufacture, physical characteristics, and markings. Note: In this Standard, prefabricated, tileable shower receptors are referred to as ôshower receptorsö. 1.3 The purpose of this Standard is to enhance health and safety by: (a) specifying acceptable criteria for prefabricated, tileable shower receptors; and (b) serving as a guide for producers, distributors, architects, engineers, contractors, installers, inspectors, and users. 1.4 The requirements of this Standard are not intended to prevent the use of alternate materials or methods of construction provided such alternates meet the intent of this Standard. 1.5 Amendments to this Standard will be made after processing in accordance with the standards writing procedures of IAPMO. 1.6 The userÆs attention is called to the possibility that compliance with this Standard may require use of an invention covered by patent rights.
