Impressed Current Laboratory Testing of Aluminum Alloy Anodes
This standard test method details a quality assurance procedure for determining the potential and current capacity characteristics under laboratory condition for aluminum and zinc alloy anodes used for cathodic protection. It provides a means for screening various heats or lots of anodes to determine performance consistency on a regular basis from lot to lot. It includes figures that illustrate the various test set-ups needed to perform the procedure, and tables with alloy compositions and a range of evaluation reults. This test method is maintained by Task group 459.
