NFPA 1127: Code for High Power Rocketry, 2008 Edition

NFPA 1127: Code for High Power Rocketry applies to the design, construction, limitation of propellant mass and power, and reliability of high power rocket motors and motor components, for use by a certified user for education, recreation, and sporting competition.
The 2008 edition includes amendments based upon findings outlined in a study by the National Association of Rocketry on the safety of sport rocketry.
2008 changes address improvements to:
Rocket recovery
Launch guidance devices
Launch site specifications
Spectator clearance distances
A new edition of the High Power Rocket Safety Code has been included as an Annex to the Code. The Committee has also updated definitions to be consistent with other NFPA® documents. (Softbound, 16 pp., 2008)
