NFPA 790, Standard for Competency of Third-Party Field Evaluation Bodies
Installed electrical equipment that has not been previously certified, listed, recognized, or classified undergo a "field evaluation" to ensure compliance. This standard provides qualifications and competencies for third parties performing field evaluations and specifies how they are to be completed._x000D_ _x000D_ After receiving no Public Input, the Technical Committee on Electrical Equipment Evaluation and the National Electrical Code® Correlating Committee have respectively voted to recommend reconfirmation of NFPA 790 in accordance with Section 3.3.1.2(c) of the Regulations Governing the Development of NFPA Standards. For this reason, no first draft report or second draft report will be posted. The standard will be forwarded to the Standards Council for issuance with the committees’ recommendation.
