Woodworking machines - Safety - Part 3: Numerically controlled (NC/CNC) boring and routing machines (ISO 19085-3:2021)
This document provides safety requirements and measures for numerically controlled NC/CNC drilling machines, NC/CNC milling machines and NC/CNC bore and milling machines (as defined in 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4), which are used for permanent use in the Production are suitable, referred to below as "machines". This document deals with all significant risk listed in Appendix A, risk situations and risk events that apply to the machines if they are used, set, set and maintain the conditions for predicted and in accordance with the conditions predicted, including the reasonably predictable failure. The phases of transport, assembly, disassembly, dismantling and scrapping were also taken into account. This document is also applicable to machines that are equipped with one or more of the following devices/additional employment units, the hazards of which have been treated: - Additional units for sawing, grinding, assembling or collecting dowels; - fixed or movable workpiece support; - mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or vacuum workpiece tension; - Automatic tool changes. It is also applicable to machines that are equipped with equipment for the heating of edges, even if the relevant specific hazards are not treated. The machines treated in this document are designed for workpieces, consisting of: - solid wood; - Materials with similar physical properties such as wood (see ISO 19085-1: 2021, 3.2); - plasterboard, plaster -bound fiber panels, cardboard; - Matrix-bound mineral panels, silicate plates; - composite materials with a core of polyurethane or mineral materials, laminated with light metal; -Polymer matrix composite materials and reinforced thermoplastic/thuroplastic/elastomeric materials; - aluminum alloy metal profiles; - aluminum alloy panels with a thickness of max. 10 mm; - Composite plates that are made from the materials listed above. This document does not deal with the specific hazards in relation to - the use of grinding wheels; - spinning out by openings protected by curtains, to machines in which the height of the opening in the capsule over the workpiece support exceeds 700 mm; -spin out due to the break of milling tools with a flight circuit diameter of 16 mm or more and sawing tools that do not correspond to EN 847-1: 2017 and EN 847-2: 2017; - the combination of a single machine that is used with other machines (as part of a line); - Integrated systems for loading/unloading workpieces (e.g. robot). This document is not applicable to: - single -spindle milling machines with hand feed or integrated feed; - machines that are intended for use in explosive areas; - Machines that were manufactured before its publication.
