Method for the simulation of accelerated wear and corrosion for the detection of nickel release from coated items
This document lays down a method for simulating accelerated abrasion and corrosion to be used before proof of nickel release of conditional products which come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin. In accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), products with a nickel-containing outer coating and those imported into pierced ears or other parts of the body of the human body are excluded from the scope of this document.
