Liquid petroleum products - Vapour pressure - Part 1: Determination of air saturated vapour pressure (ASVP) and calculated dry vapour pressure equivalent (DVPE)
This document specifies a method for determining the air saturated vapor pressure (ASVP) (absolute vapor pressure) exerted in vacuum by volatile, low viscosity petroleum products, components, ethanol blends up to 85% (v/v) and feedstocks containing air becomes. The dry vapor pressure equivalent (DVPE) can be calculated using the air saturated vapor pressure (ASVP) reading. The conditions used in the test described in this document are a vapor to liquid ratio of 4:1 and a test temperature of 37.8°C. The test device is not wetted with water during the test, so the method described is suitable for samples both with and without oxygen-containing components; Water dissolved in the sample is not taken into account. The method described is suitable for testing air-saturated samples with a DVPE between 15.5 kPa and 106.0 kPa; Vapor pressures outside this range can be measured, but precision has not been determined. This document is applicable to fuels containing oxygen-containing components up to the limits specified in the relevant Council Directive 85/536/EEC, as well as to ethanol-fuel mixtures with an ethanol content of up to 85% (V/V).
