Fire resistance tests for service installations - Part 3: Penetration seals
This part of the series of standards EN 1366 specifies a test procedure and criteria for assessment (including rules for the direct area of application) of the ability of a foreclosure to maintain the fire resistance of a room -closing component at the point where one or more lines are carried out. Foreclosures for all -round joints around fireplaces, ventilation systems, ventilation lines, installation channels and shafts as well as smoke extraction lines and extended combination shutter resistance with defined fire resistance duration are excluded from this part of the series of standards EN 1366. In this part of the series of standards EN 1366, support structures are used for spatial components, such as walls and ceilings. These put the interactions between the test body and the spatial component in which the foreclosure is to be installed in practice. This part of the series of standards EN 1366 is intended for use in connection with EN 1363-1. The exam described in this part of the series EN 1366 serves to assess the room degree and thermal insulation behavior of the foreclosure, the continuous line (s) and the room -closing component for isolation. The exam enables no statements about the extent to which the presence of such implementations and foreclosure has an impact on the load -bearing capacity of the room -closing component. It is assumed that the fall over a foreclosure in the wall is always designed in the hot and cold state so that it does not add further vertically. The purpose of this test is not to determine quantitative information about the leakage rate of smoke and/or hot gases or the transmission or generation of flue gases. Such observations are only recorded when describing the general behavior of the test specimens during the examination in the test report. Exams in accordance with this part of the series of standards EN 1366 do not provide any information about the performance behavior of a foreclosure to resist tensions that are generated by movements or shifts of the continuous lines. The risk of a fire spread down, caused by burning material, which drips down into the floor below, for example, is currently not treated in this document. The exams in accordance with this part of the series of standards EN 1366 do not deal with risks in connection with the exit of dangerous liquids or gases due to the failure of pipes in the event of a fire. A situation in which the systems are switched off in the event of a fire in accordance with this part of the series of standards EN 1366 of pipe deflections for pipes of pipe post systems, compressed air systems, etc. Explanations for this test procedure are given in the Appendix H. All values without predetermined border deviations in this document are nominal values, unless otherwise stated. All pipe diameters are outside diameter, unless otherwise stated.
