Explosion resistant equipment
This European Standard specifies the requirements for explosion-proof equipment which will withstand an internal explosion without bursting or causing any dangerous effects on the environment. It is applicable to equipment (containers and systems) where explosions are an extraordinary burden. There are two types of explosion-proof devices: explosion-proof and explosion-proof devices (see Figure 1).
