Industrial valves - Requirements and testing for metallic valves as pressure accessories
This European standard applies to metal fittings as pressure equipment parts for industrial applications with a maximum allowable pressure (PS) greater than 0.5 bar under the European pressure equipment directive and sets the minimum requirements for the Apply design (design), production, testing, materials and documentation. All relevant essential safety requirements of equipment of the European pressure directive, that apply to the fittings, were taken into account and dealt with in this standard. This standard does not apply to:-safety valves and rupture discs (an equipment component with safety function); -Sight glasses and their frames (component of a pressure device) and - measuring Chambers. With regard to additional exclusions, please refer to the European pressure equipment directive.
