Plywood - Classification by surface appearance - Part 2: Hardwood (Austrian Standard)

The document specifies the nature and limitation of characteristics and defects for the classification by the appearance of the surfaces of plywood. The response of plywood to finishing comes from this classification. It applies to plywood made from temperate and tropical broadleaved species. It does not apply to overlaid panels. The document is one of a series of standards dealing with wood-based panels within the scope of the Council Directive relating to construction products and is published in support of Eurocode No. 5 Common unified rules for timber structures.
