Safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts - Lifts for the transport of persons and goods - Part 28: Remote alarm on passenger and goods passenger lifts
This document determines technical requirements for emergency call systems for passenger and cargo elevators, as described in the EN 81 series. This includes: - Activation of the alarm, - transmission of the alarm, - Information on the use and maintenance, - tests on the system to check the effectiveness of the requirements of this document before the system is used. This does not include: - the failure of the communication network (see Appendix A), including the signal strength of the mobile network or comparable; - In a geographical area, the failure of the energy supply does not lead to an inclusion of people at the same time. This document deals with the following considerable risks, dangerous situations or events that are relevant for the elevator if it is used as intentionally and under the manufacturer's predictable abuse conditions: - Risk of the enclosure for users in the car and shaft. This document is not to be applied to emergency call systems for elevators that were installed before its publication.
