Welding consumables - Wire electrodes and weld deposits for gas shielded metal arc welding of non alloy and fine grain steels - Classification (ISO 14341:2020)

This document lays down requirements for the classification of wire electrodes and welded material for metal shielding gas welding of unalloyed steels and fine-grained structural steels with a minimum yield strength of up to 500 MPa or a minimum tensile strength of up to 570 MPa in the welding state and after heat retreatment. A wire electrode can be tested and divided with various inert gases. This document contains a common specification for classification either according to the yield strength and the average notch impact work of 47 J of the pure welded material or according to the tensile strength and the average notch impact work of 27 J of the pure welded material. (a) Sections and tables, marked by a trailing "A", shall apply only to wire electrodes assigned to the system based on the yield strength and the average notch impact work of 47 J of the pure welded material according to this document. (b) Sections and tables, marked by e ...
