Health and safety in welding and allied processes - Equipment for capture and separation of welding fume - Part 1: General requirements (ISO 21904-1:2020)
This document sets out the general requirements for ventilation systems for detecting and deposition of smoke emissions generated during welding and related processes, such as arc welding and firing cutting. This document shall also specify the test data to be affixed to the recording equipment. It shall apply to the design and manufacture of parts of the installation, including welding fumes hoods, ventilation ducts, filter units, air movement devices and warning systems for displaying non-safe operation and a hazardous workplace, in order to ensure safe working with regard to emission exposure. Section 4 lists significant hazards. It does not treat electrical, mechanical or pneumatic hazards.
