Determination of flash point - Pensky-Martens closed cup method (ISO 2719:2016 + Amd. 1:2021) (consolidated version)
This International Standard describes three methods, A, B and C, to determine the flash point of flammable liquids, liquids containing suspended solids, liquids tending to form a surface film under the test conditions, biodiesel and other liquids in the temperature range from 40 °C to 370 °C using the Pensky-Martens closed crucible test facility. Method A applies to distillate fuels (diesel, biodiesel mixtures, heating oil and jet fuel), new and in use lubricating oils, varnishes and varnishes and other homogeneous liquids which do not fall within the scope of processes B or C. Method B applies to residual heating oils, waste residues, used lubricating oils, mixtures of liquids with solids, liquids which tend to form a surface film under test conditions or which have such a kinematic viscosity that ...
