Corrosion tests in artificial atmospheres - Salt spray tests (ISO 9227:2022)

This document places the test device, the reagents and the processes to be used in the implementation of the exams with neutral salt sprays (NSS, EN: Neutral Salt Spray), acetic acid salt sprays (Aass, en: Acid Acid Salt Spray) and copper-accelerated acetic acid salt spray lever , En: Copper-Accelerated Acid Acid Salt Salt) to assess the corrosion resistance of metallic materials with or without permanent or temporary corrosion protection. This document also describes the procedure used to evaluate corrosiveness in the test chamber. The salt spray checks are particularly useful for the detection of weaknesses, such as pores and other damage, in certain metallic coverings and organic coatings as well as anodic oxide layers and layers of conversion.
