Surface quality classes for hot-rolled bars and wire rod (ISO 9443:2018)
This document contains the technical terms of delivery for the surface grade of round bars, square bars, hexagonal bars and wire rod in the hot-rolled State with nominal diameters dN 5 mm up to 200 mm. This document can be used also for bright steel and tool steel, unless this was agreed at the time of enquiry and order between manufacturer and customer. According to agreement between manufacturer and buyer, this document can be applied to other forms of special profile. This document applies particularly to steels used in engineering and construction. This document contains no requirements on the maximum depth of the edge Decarburization.
