Marking of Plastic Parts

This SAE Recommended Practice provides a system for marking plastic parts to designate the type of material from which the part was fabricated. The purpose of this document is to provide information to facilitate the: a.) Selection of materials and procedures for repairing and repainting plastic parts, and b.) Collection and handling of parts for subsequent recycling.
