This specification covers an aircraft-quality, low-alloy steel in the form of heat treated bars and forgings. These products have been used typically for parts, such as nuts, bolts, and screws, 1.750 inches (44.45 mm) and under in section thickness requiring a minimum tensile strength of 105 ksi (724 MPa), but usage is not limited to such applications.
