This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) establishes the requirements for lubricating oil filters for general aviation reciprocating engine applications with lubricating oil systems normally operating in a pressure range of 345 to 689 kPa (50 to 100 psig). This specification defines uniform parameters for the design, manufacture, and test of filters for general aviation lubricating oil systems for aircraft type piston engines.
