This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) covers the determination of the amount of stock loss caused by use of chemical cleaning agents on aircraft turbine engine materials. The evaluation is conducted on representative engine materials by determination of weight loss during total immersion in the cleaning solution with the weight-loss measurement converted to stock loss by calculation.
