Water quality--Determination of pyridine--Gas chromatography (TEXT OF DOCUMENT IS IN CHINESE)

This standard specifies the method of gas chromatography for determination of pyridine in wastewater.

This standard applies to the determination of pyridine in industrial wastewater.

This method is the analytical method of gas chromatography by using top air injection. The method is to put a certain volume of industrial wastewater containing pyridine into a sealed container with a certain capacity and adequate room above water, then to heat the container for 30 min at constant temperature to make pyridine in water go into the room above water. When the vapor-liquid equilibrium is reached, take some gas in the room above water of the container and inject them to gas chromatograph accompanied with a hydrogen flame ion detector to make the determination of pyridine.

The range of the determination in this method is 0.49-4.9 mg/L. The minimum solution determined is 0.031 mg/L and the minimum amount that can be determined is 6.2 A-10-8g.
