Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of indentation hardness - Part 1: Durometer method (Shore hardness) (ISO 7619-1:2010)

The document specifies a method for determining the indentation hardness (Shore hardness) of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubber using durometers.*This document contains the German translation of the International Standard ISO 7619-1:2010, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and rubber products" (secretariat: DSM, Malaysia). The responsible national committee is NA 062-04-34 AA "Prüfung der physikalischen Eigenschaften von Kautschuk und Elastomeren" ("Test procedures for physical properties of rubber") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP). This part of DIN ISO 7619 specifies a method for determining the indentation hardness (Shore hardness) of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubber using durometers with the following scales: - the A scale for rubbers in the normal-hardness range; - the D scale for rubbers in the high-hardness range; - the AO scale for rubbers in the low-hardness range and for cellular rubbers; - the AM scale for thin rubber test pieces in the normal-hardness range.
