This International Standard specifies the dimensions of standard series gang channels with self-locking, floating nuts, with counterbore, with MJ threads, of classifications: 1 100 MPa 1) /120 C 2) , 1 100 MPa 1) /235 C 2) , 1 100 MPa 1) /425 C 2) . This International Standard is only applicable to the compilation of aerospace product standards. 1) Corresponds to the minimum tensile stress which the nut is able to withstand at ambient temperature without breaking or cracking when tested with a bolt of a higher strength class. 2) Maximum temperature that the nut is able to withstand, without permanent alteration to its original characteristics, after ambient temperature has been restored. The maximum temperature is conditioned either by the material or by the surface treatment.

This International Standard specifies the dimensions of self-locking, floating, self-aligning barrel nuts, with MJ threads, for classifications : 900 MPa 1) /235 C 2) , 1 100 MPa 1) /235 C 2) , 1 250 MPa 1) /235 C 2) and 1550 MPa 1) /235 C 2) . ISO 12273:2010 specifies the dimensions of floating, self-aligning, two lug anchor nuts, with MJ threads and a self-locking feature achieved by forming the upper portion out-of-round, of the following classifications: 900 MPa/235 °C; 900 MPa/315 °C; 900 MPa/425 °C. ISO 12273:2010 is only applicable for the compilation of aerospace product standards.
