Radial Bearings of Ball, Cylindrical Roller and Spherical Roller Types - Metric Design
ABSTRACT Specifies boundary dimensions, tolerances and radial internal clearances for metric radial ball, cylindrical roller, and spherical roller bearings in common usage in the United States. FOREWORD ANSI/AGMA 20-2025 replaces ANSI/AGMA 20-2011. Symbols and definitions were updated to align with ISO nomenclature, some figures and tables were recreated for readability, and the formatting was updated to align with the current ABMA style. In November 2023, the ABMA ASC B3 Committee approved the start of the ABMA 20-2025 project, which was written by the ABMA ASC B3 Committee. It was approved by the MPMA Board of Directors in August 2025. It was approved as an American National Standard on September 9, 2025. SCOPE This standard includes: - Basic plan for the boundary dimensions of metric radial ball and roller bearings; - General rules for extension of the basic plans; - Dimensions and tolerances for snap ring groove and locating snap rings; - dimensions for radial ball bearings with flanged outer ring; and - Tolerances for boundary dimensions, chamfers, various runouts and internal clearance.
