CGA Position Statement on Suitability of DOT-3A Type Cylinders for Continued Service
This position statement addresses high pressure gas cylinders designed, manufactured, and used in accordance with the U.S. DOT specification 3A and preceding ICC-3 specification. It provides answers to the question, "Are DOT-3A type cylinders, regardless of age, suitable for continued service?" The information in PS-16 is supported by CGA TR-2, High Pressure Steel Cylinders In-Service Performance.
