Steel wire ropes - Safety - Part 1: General requirements (Foreign Standard)
This European standard specifies the general requirements and terms of acceptance for steel wire ropes. For specific applications, additional or alternative requirements are given in succeeding parts of this standard. The hazards covered by this standard are identified in clause 4. This standard applies primarily to ropes which have been manufactured after the date of issue of the standard.
