Reference model for operational waste and recyclables management oriented towards a vision of "zero waste"
This DIN SPEC in accordance with the PAS procedure has been drawn up by a DIN SPEC-consortium set up on a temporary basis. This DIN SPEC has been developed and approved by the authors named in the foreword of the DIN SPEC. This document specifies requirements for waste and recyclables management. Oriented towards a vision of "zero waste", the aim is to reduce the amount of waste and to put unavoidable waste to sustainable use. Criteria for evaluating the degree of implementation are defined with the help of transparent classification. Furthermore, requirements regarding processes, data collection and documentation are specified in order to enable a comprehensive and objectively assessable application. This DIN SPEC is intended for all organizations whose operational processes generate waste.
