Water quality - Evaluation in an aqueous medium of the ultimate aerobic biodegradability of organic compounds - Method by analysis of dissolved organic carbon (DOC)

The conditions described do not always correspond to the optimal conditions allowing the occurance of the maximum value of biodegradation. The procedure applies to substances which are soluble at the concentration used under the test conditions, non-volatile; not significantly adsorbable on glass; not inhibitory to the test micro-organisms at the concentration chosen for the test.
