Offshore Platform Atmospheric and Splash Zone Maintenance Coating System Evaluation

This standard specifies a laboratory test method to evaluate the performance of liquid-applied maintenance coating systems for the atmospheric zone and splash zone of offshore platforms. The types of tests specified are: rust creepage resistance, edge-retention, thermal-cycling resistance, seawater immersion resistance, cathodic disbondment, flexibility, and impact resistance. There are some helpful figures for reference, and a table is included that specifies test specimen size and geometry. There are also sections on test specimens and solutions. This standard is maintained by Task Group (TG) 260.
