Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Wrought products and cast products - Special requirements for products intended for the production of pressure equipment
This European standard determines the material requirements and test methods for kneading and cast materials made of aluminum and aluminum alloys that are intended to manufacture pressure devices. This European standard includes:- Designs, varieties and material states of kneading and cast materials made of aluminum and aluminum alloys that may be used for this application together with data for kneading and cast alloys about their permissible working temperature areas; - Technical testing and delivery conditions, limit values of the mechanical properties as well as border dimensions and form tolerances with reference to the applicable European standards for kneading and cast materials made of aluminum and aluminum alloys; and - additional specific requirements for application in printing devices. It applies to warm rolled plates, cold-rolled sheets/ligaments/ronders, strand-pressed or strand-pressed and cold rods and pipes, for strand-pressed full and hollow profiles as well as for smithy and cast pieces. The materials and areas of application that covers this document are specified in Appendix A, Table A.1, for kneading alloys and in Table A.2 for cast pieces. In this European standard, only the materials provided for pressure devices are listed, manufacturing or manufacturing processes for printing devices are not recorded; Information on this can be removed from the relevant standards, which are listed under "literature references".
