Laminate floor coverings - Elements with a surface layer based on aminoplastic thermosetting resins - Specifications, requirements and test methods
This European Standard specifies the properties, requirements and test methods for laminate flooring with a top layer based on aminoplastic, heat-curable resins as defined in 3.1 and 3.2. It also lays down labelling and packaging requirements. It contains a classification system based on EN ISO 10874 with practical requirements for specific areas of use and load classes. This serves to show in which areas laminate flooring can be used satisfactorily, as well as to enable the consumer to make an informed selection. Laminate flooring is generally intended for floating installation in the "residential" and "commercial" application areas, including use in residential kitchens.
