Sustainability of construction works - Environmental product declarations - Product Category Rules for concrete and concrete elements

This document completes the basic rules for the product category of construction products, as defined in EN 15804: 2012+A2: 2019, and is intended for application as a basic product category rule (C-PCR, en: Core Product Category Rule) in connection with this standard. This C-PCR applies to products that are located in the scope of CEN/TC 104 and CEN/TC 229, but may also be applicable to other concrete products, provided that these have product-specific C-PCRs. This document applies to concrete and concrete elements for buildings and engineering structures, with the exception of aerated concrete and synthetic resin concrete. Apart from Appendix G, it may be used as a guideline for fiber optic reinforced concrete. This document specifies the parameters to be specified and beyond which EPD types (and phases of the life cycle) to be treated and which rules must be followed in order to generate facts (LCI) and to carry out effects (LCIA), and what quality the one in the Creation of EPDs must have used data. In addition to the general sections of EN 15804: 2012+A2: 2019, this document for concrete and concrete elements has the following goals: It - sets the system boundaries, - defines the modeling and assessment of the material -specific properties, specifies the allocation process for multi -output - Processes along the production chain, - defines the allocation methods for reuse and recycling, - contains the rules for calculating the balance of facts and the assessment of the effect on the EPD - provides instructions/special rules for the determination of the reference -Use duration (RSL, EN: Reference Service Life), - provides instructions on the determination of standard scenarios, and - provide instructions for usual functional units for concrete elements. This document is intended for use in the assessment of the manufacturing phase as well as other phases (from the cradle to the work gate with options) or the assessment of the entire life cycle (from cradle to the bahrre); The prerequisite for this is that the goals in the description of the system boundaries are specified. At the building level, a comprehensive declaration (from the cradle to the Bahre) provides a better overall understanding of the environmental consequences, which result from concrete and concrete elements.
