Plastics - Environmental Aspects - Vocabulary
This document defines terms in the area of plastics with reference to environmental aspects and provides a common vocabulary available for - bio -based plastics, - biological degradability, - CO2 and environmental balance, - circulatory economy, design, - plastics in natural environments, - Reuse and recycling, and - waste management. This document is intended to provide a comprehensive glossary that uses the applicable definitions and, if necessary, contains additional comments in order to make these definitions understandable without reference to other documents. The definitions are adopted as far as possible by existing standards, but if the original intention or definition is unclear, additional context or definitions are provided.
