Sustainability of construction works - Environmental product declarations - Horizontal rules for business-to-consumer communication
This document contains horizontal rules for the communication of companies to consumers (B2C communication), including benchmarking systems that aim to inform consumers about the environmental quality during the life cycle of construction products, compound components and components. Communication is based on the results from the life cycle of the product, system or elements that is inserted into the building, see EN 15804: 2012+A2: 2019. B2C communication includes information about the advantages and loads outside the system boundary. This document is aimed at organizations that offer B2C communication and benchmarking systems, and provides guidelines for the development of B2C communication and general rules for benchmarking methods with the help of EPD, see EN 15804 and see EN 15942 for The communication format. The methodology for B2C communication and benchmarking described in this document is based on a functional unit and an evaluation "from the cradle to the Bahrre". B2C communication without benchmarking is also described in this document.
