Rubber and plastics hoses and tubing - Measurement of flexibility and stiffness - Part 2: Bending tests at sub-ambient temperatures (ISO 10619-2:2021)

This document specifies two methods for measuring stiffness and one method for determining the flexibility of rubber and plastic hoses, with or without an insert, in which the hoses are bent to a specified radius at temperatures below ambient temperature. Method A is suitable for non-foldable rubber and plastic hoses with or without insert with a bore up to and including 25 mm. The method provides a way to measure the stiffness of the hose with and without insert when the temperature is reduced from a standard laboratory temperature. Method B is suitable for rubber and plastic hoses with and without inlay with a bore up to 100 mm and offers a possibility to evaluate the flexibility of the hoses with and without insert when they are bent around a bending beard at a specified temperature below the ambient temperature. This procedure can also be used as a routine check in the quality ...
